Sometimes, depending on the characteristics of the tumor and the patient, we perform what is called the "cold tumor to hot tumor" step. This is done by injecting intratumorally, before treatment, an antiviral vaccine that causes a large influx of cells from the patient's immune system to the tumor, particularly T lymphocytes, which makes the tumor much more receptive to treatment, thus improving the final results.
